Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our community. The top priority at Mel’s Lone Star Lanes, CJ’s Sports Bar & CJ’s Catering is the safety and well-being of our guests and team members. Without taking premature or unnecessary measures at this time we will remain open during spring break.
However, we are actively monitoring the guidance of local authorities, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus.
While we always strive for exceptionally high standards for cleanliness and safety, we have shared specific instructions with our team members on the importance of additional measures we are taking at this time. This includes, but is not limited to, the importance of washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick or are returning from an area identified as posing a coronavirus related risk.
Additionally, we are taking sanitization procedures to a higher level. This includes sanitization of bowling balls, tables, chairs, arcade games and surface areas at a higher frequency.
In the event it is necessary to temporarily limit or cease operations we are dedicated to doing what is right for our guests. Any Mel’s sponsored event deposits will be refunded in full. Guest planned event deposits can be refunded or held for future use with priority in date selection.
We remain committed to providing you and your family with a great guest experience and hope that these measures give you confidence that we are taking the necessary precautions in this evolving situation.
There is no issue more important to us than making sure we manage this situation as effectively as possible, so you continue to feel confident visiting us. For additional information about COVID-19, please read the latest report from the Centers for Disease Control at www.cdc.gov.
